CRIA Read-A-Thon 2021

For the 5th consecutive year, Costa Rica International Academy is partnering with its sister school, Matapalo Elementary School, in order to purchase textbooks for the entire student body (200+ students), as well as school supplies and uniforms for students from low income backgrounds. 

Unfortunately, the Costa Rican Ministry of Education does not have the funds to provide textbooks for students, so this is an invaluable donation and investment in the education of the students of Matapalo.

CRIA partners each year with the nonprofit Futuro Brillante to coordinate the purchase and distribution of the books and supplies directly to the school and the students. 100% of your donation will be used to buy books, supplies or uniforms.

How to donate to a specific CRIA student's Read-a-Thon campaign

Select your donation amount and then check the box that says: 'Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone'

Below, select: 'In Honor of'

Then write the student's first and last name and grade level in the 'Honoree Name' box.  You can notify the student through their personal email or their parents' email if you choose.
