It is no news that the Covid-19 pandemic is ravaging countries across the world. Worse hit are the poorest of the poor, who live in slums and shanties behind the mega cities of the world.

In Abuja, Nigeria, several thousands who are affected by the 28 days stretch lockdown may not have been reached with the palliatives being shared by the government for several reasons. One of such reasons is that there is no motor-able access to where they live and were not captured in the Social Investment Program.

Most of them live in slums at Mpape, Kpaduma, kabusa, Karshi, Garki village, Mabushi village, etc

So, how are they coping with the unexpected lockdown? Your guess is as good as mineā€¦ Unfortunately, the residents of these slums are daily faced with lack of basic infrastructures, such as light, health care facilities, toilet facilities, etc, which worsens their situations and healthy conditions this period.

As an organization that works closely with youths and women, we have identified that these people are in dire need of help, especially food supplies.

By this Campaign therefore, we are raising funds to enable us distribute food items, such as: rice, garri, yams, onions, condiments, oil, etc

We appreciate all those who have already sent in food items in support of this campaign.
