As we finish recharging from Tour 10, as we brainstorm how to best celebrate our communities, as we approach Twelfth Night we also approach our Twelfth Season!
We will be announcing Tour 11 on Twelfth Night and as we "Count Up" to the start of our 12th Season and all of the possibilities it holds, we are asking for your generosity to make sure all of the dreams happen.
This year we are raising money to raise our artists salaries as we strive to find a way to create equity and sustainability for artists to join our tours and visit your towns. Just as we do not think that location, education, or economic position should hinder any audience from enjoying our timeless tales, we similarly do not think that differences in circumstance should hinder artists from joining us as we create, rehearse, and travel to bring you quality entertainment.
Our goal is to be able to offer a $2,000 stipend to each performer. That's $2,000 for taking almost two months of time away from their homes and away from other work. That's $2,000 for traveling far more than 2,000 miles, for memorizing lines, for assisting as we visit classrooms and libraries in addition to performing in parks; for helping create costumes and props, loading and unloading, flyering, posting, and taking on multiple personalities all for your pleasure.
In addition to raising higher stipends we need to raise our usual funds for travel, production, bookmarks, and breakfasts!
We are raising money incrementally - bite sized goals. This first campaign will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous donor up to $1,200.
