Contingent Simpsons Fundraiser

Since our December 2019 Star Wars issue, Contingent has always published a special six-article themed issue to close out the year. Last year, a grant allowed us to grow our December issue for the first time, publishing six 1000-2000 word pieces with accompanying voice recordings by the authors. We'd love to do it again, but donations to the magazine have ebbed this year. Since we all know money can be exchanged for goods and services, and Contingent is an outlet that pays its writers, we're asking for your help to fund the December 2026 issue.

If we raise $1350, we can publish a full December issue in the old fashion, with 3 shorts (1000-2000 words) and 3 mini-essays (500-1000 words).

If we raise $1800, we can publish all 6 pieces as shorts (1000-2000 words)

If we raise $2100, we can publish 6 shorts and further compensate our authors to produce audio versions of their pieces.

Thank you for your support of Contingent over the past eight years.
