Why an album?

Consonare has been keeping beautiful choral music alive and available, shedding light on lesser represented choral works which is needed in our field. Voices of Concinnity, specifically, brings choral music alive in a natural, almost spontaneous fashion. Since Concinnity singers are encouraged to sing with an honest sound, their performances show that gorgeous choral music can be made by all. This album can help share the breadth and variety of choral music with the next generation to enjoy and for choirs to sing.

Concinnity’s greatest assets have been expressed as the ability to sing a wide variety of repertoire while adapting to each style, a blended sound, and the inclusion of a diverse representation of composers. We believe these assets are valuable and ready to be shared with the world with a well-produced sound of a record.

Why is your help requested?

Even though we were approached by the record company to sign with them, there is considerable cost associated with making a record and it is necessary for the musicians to acquire the funding for the recording.
