Computer Skills Training

GOLI's computer lab is a transformative resource, offering digital literacy education to approximately 350 students from 5th grade to High School. With modern amenities like air conditioning, solar power and reliable internet, the lab offers instruction in essential software applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word, as well as internet research and typing skills, along with conversational English. 

Beyond technical training, it bridges the digital divide, opening doors to online opportunities and employment prospects, empowering students for success and helping them better understand the world. Despite challenges elsewhere, GOLI ensures uninterrupted access to learning, reflecting its unwavering commitment to education. 

Funding is sought to extend lab hours for students and adults in the community alike, enabling graduates to further develop skills and pursue careers in technology, supporting GOLI's mission of empowerment through education and innovation.

We are impacting students through our new computer lab. Students are loearning valuable computer + internet skills as well as conversational english training to prepare them for remote jobs.

In 2020, a group of individuals from Cosmos Corporation, inspired by the vision of helping Haitian students access better educational opportunities and online resources like online colleges, and certification programs, organized a series of fundraisers to build a computer lab with satellite internet.

The next phase of the project is supporting an excellent language and skills curriculum, and providing funding for these education opportunities.
