Dyani, I'm not really used to doing this nor am I really sure if this counts as a testimony but, after 20 months of being stuck on a guy from my past I've finally overcome. I had prayed and fasted for him for well over a year after he left/his disappearance. I honestly was so heartbroken and depressed at that time. Now I've been healed and renewed by the grace of God though. Side note, that's truly what catapulted my faith in God because of how broken I was, I knew He was the only way that I could even see a possibility of him coming back. My relationship grew exponentially and as I was just leaning on God, I started praying and fasting for him. Not knowing that the very thing I was praying and fasting for, was something that God had rejected for me. He had told me that multiple times on end back then but I didn't have the ears to hear it. From almost hating what he had for me, to now loving it with a pure and genuine heart. I was humbled greatly, learned how to take accountability and apologize, took multiple leaps of faith even when everyone around friends especially quite literally shook their heads. I was able to overcome my past and sacrafice those things, and my relationship with the Father has grown. AND I can hear his voice and see His presence very clearly now. Hallelujah!
