Community Orchards

The Community Orchards are a gift to our community, open to everyone and rooted in the belief that access to fresh, healthy food should be available to all.

Located at 1400 West Laurel and 324 S. 17th Street in Independence, the orchards are home to fruit and pecan trees. The fruit trees have been producing delicious harvests during peak season for the past several years. These spaces not only provide free, nutritious food, but also encourage healthy living, connection with nature, and pride in our shared community.
