Over the past year, we have seen a heartbreaking increase in families coming to us with an unimaginable request—to take their children into our care because they simply do not have enough food to feed them.
At Emmanuel, our calling has always been to provide a safe haven for children in need. Yet our deepest desire is to see families remain together—to see parents empowered to raise their children with dignity, love, and the basic resources every family deserves. The thought of a parent considering separation from their child due to poverty alone is something no family should ever face.
Our vision remains unchanged: a thriving community where families are strengthened, children have access to education, clean water, nourishing food, and real opportunities for a hopeful future.
While we currently care for 39 children in our home and operate with limited resources, we stepped out in faith—armed with only a few bags of rice and prayer—trusting God to multiply what was placed before Him. And He was faithful.
Today, we are asking for continued support to sustain our weekend feeding program. With your help, we can feed more children, ease the burden on struggling families, and remind every child they are seen, loved, and valued.
This program also provides meaningful work for the dedicated cooks from our school, who are paid to prepare meals—allowing them to serve their community while earning income to support their own families.
Your generosity provides more than a meal; it offers consistency, nourishment, and hope in the face of hunger. Every dollar given goes directly toward feeding a child in desperate need.
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”
— Proverbs 19:17
Please continue to lift the nation of Haiti in prayer, and especially our peaceful community of Bombardopolis.
