Summer camp brings HOPE to children in Ukraine. Nadiiya Project: Comfort Kits for Children® & First Aid of the Soul!

Children. Summer Camp.  Grief.  Loss.  Ukraine.  Coping.  Mind-body play.  Resilience.  

In the coming months between 100 and 150 children and parents will attend a grief and trauma camp in Ukraine, where they will learn to use mind-body toys and practices to help them feel better and manage pain, anxiety, and other problems associated with trauma!!!  This is possible because Comfort Kits for Children® and First Aid of the Soul are partnering to make The Nadiiya Project (HOPE) an amazing experience!   The camp will provide comprehensive programs for parents and families, with an emphasis on supporting  emotional expression and regulation, building resilience and connection in community, fostering positive interactions between parent and child, and training Ukrainian counselors for sustainability and scalability.  

With your support, each child attending this camp will be given a Comfort Kit that contains simple toys and items associated with mind-body comfort practices.  These help them regulate difficult feelings, create comfort, and cope with challenges like pain and disrupted sleep.  The Nadiiya Project staff, using the guidance found in the Comfort Kits for Children pamphlets and online videos, will "coach" children and parents as they explore these mind-body activities.  

Each Comfort Kit costs about $10 US dollars and our goal is to give one to every child in the Nadiiya Project summer camp. First Aid of the Soul will bring the kits to camp for the children.
