Colombia Earthquake Relief

On August 10th, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia — Chocó, Pereira, Manizales, and Cali have all been hit hard, and the situation is still unfolding.

Our hearts are with the communities and partners we work alongside there. We're working through how Powerful Children Colombia can best support — in a way that's safe and thoughtful, and that gets resources to where they're needed most, without adding to the load on people who are already stretched thin.

We are collecting funds with the aim of:

-Supporting our partners as they navigate the earthquake's impact on their staff, programming, and the communities they serve.

-Support locally-led emergency relief efforts, including in areas like Chocó, Manizales and Cali, where Powerful Children Colombia does not yet have an established partner on the ground.

We'll share updates on how these funds are being used as our response takes shape.
