College & University Sponsorships
This donation form works for new sponsorships and
existing / renewing sponsorships.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for new sponsors:
WHY DO YOU ASK A FLAT FEE WHEN DIFFERENT COLLEGES HAVE DIFFERENT COSTS?
For new sponsors, we ask for the average cost for one student, to keep things simple. Existing sponsors and interested new sponsors may pay the actual costs for their student (please contact us to find out how much). Note that you can manually enter any donation figure in the widget on your left.
WHAT COMMITMENT DO SPONSORS USUALLY MAKE?
Generally, our college & university sponsors commit to supporting their students until graduation (two to four years).
WHAT IS "HALF SPONSORSHIP"?
Half sponsors usually contribute $1000-$1500 per year, and are paired with other half sponsors so that together they are fully supporting one student. Those who wish to contribute a smaller amount can give to our College & University Fund.
WILL I GET TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE STUDENT I SUPPORT?
Sponsors who commit to supporting a college or university student will receive updates, photos, and letters from their student. The relationship is two-way, and we ask that sponsors write letters of encouragement to the students they support.
