Special Offerings

Throughout the year, the Church of the Brethren seeks support through four special offerings that enable the mission and ministry of the denomination. 

One Great Hour of Sharing 

Gifts given through this special offering empower ministries like the Church of the Brethren’s Brethren Volunteer Service, Discipleship Ministries, Office of Global Mission, Brethren Disaster Ministries, the Global Food Initiative, and many others.

Pentecost Offering

The Pentecost Offering of the Church of the Brethren highlights the invitation to partake of Jesus and his ways as we call and equip fearless disciples and leaders, renew and plant churches, and transform communities.

Mission Offering

The Mission Offering highlights how we love and serve together in the Church of the Brethren with our sisters and brothers around the world.

Advent Offering

The Advent Offering highlights our belief in the Church of the Brethren that God is present in our missions and ministries. It supports Core Ministries like the Office of Peacebuilding and Policy, Brethren Volunteer Service, and many more.

A gift to restricted funds including the Special Offerings includes a Ministry Enablement Contribution of 9 percent to help cover the cost of carrying out the intended purpose of the gift.
