When I grow up I want to be an...engineer

Clovens has always felt like a brother to the children here at our home. For years, he split his time between his mother’s home and staying here with his father, Riclaud, who is our full-time security guard and a steady, comforting presence on our grounds. In 2024 Clovens made the decision to move in full-time, making our home not just a familiar place—but truly his home.

We’ve watched Clovens grow up before our eyes. He’s gone from being an energetic, playful kid always kicking around a soccer ball, to a thoughtful and reliable young man who doesn’t hesitate to jump in and help with projects—whether that’s working in the garden or lending a hand to staff and younger children. His heart is kind, his spirit is strong, and he’s become someone we all depend on.

Over the years, Clovens has watched the other children light up when they receive letters, photos, and messages from their sponsors. He’s seen how meaningful that connection can be—how it makes a child feel known and supported, even from miles away. Clovens quietly longs for that same connection: someone to believe in him, to cheer him on, and to remind him he matters.

If you’re looking to make a lasting difference in a young person’s life, we hope you’ll consider becoming that person for Clovens. Your support could mean the world to him.
