We believe a temporary financial challenge should never become a permanent barrier to a student's future.

That is why The Woodson Foundation is launching Close the Gap. Keep the Dream Alive., a campaign to raise $9,000 in emergency scholarship funding to support students facing financial barriers as they prepare for the January 2027 academic term.

These funds will provide targeted financial assistance to eligible students experiencing unexpected educational funding gaps that could threaten their ability to continue their studies.

Our goal is simple: Help students stay enrolled, continue making progress, and move closer to achieving the futures they have worked so hard to build.

At The Woodson Foundation, we understand that educational opportunity means more than helping students get through the door. It means helping them overcome the barriers that arise along the way. Our commitment to developing emerging leaders includes ensuring that financial challenges do not unnecessarily interrupt their progress.

We are asking 90 people to give $100, but every gift matters.
