Climate Dharma: Love in a Time of Unraveling March 19-21

This Climate Dharma workshop is a non-residential intensive, from Thursday evening March 19 through 5:00 pm Saturday March 21. The program will explore how the complex challenges facing our world impact our personal and cultural wellbeing. Practices and insights throughout the workshop will enrich our capacity respond with greater ease, balance, compassion, and creativity.
Our presenters include Ramdev Dale Borglum of the Living/Dying Project; Belvie Rooks of Growing a Global Heart; Ronault Polo Catalani, cofounder of IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization); Betsy Toll, founder and director of Living Earth; and Kavita MacMillan, artist-musician and yoga instructor.
Certificates of Completion available at the end of the workshop, related to CEUs for social workers, mental health professionals, educators, chaplains, health care professionals, and other disciplines.
Thurs. opening: 7–8:30 pm; doors open 6:30 pm (also open to public by donation)
Fri. workshop: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm; doors open 8:45 am; coffee and tea will be waiting.
Fri. evening: 7-9 pm, doors open 6:30 pm Musical performance (also open to public by donation)
Sat. workshop: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Full Registration including lunch each day: $175 (lunch must be prepaid with advance registration).
Lunch will include a vegetarian (non-vegan) plate each day, such as dal or beans with vegetables, rice, bread, fruit, and salad. Folks with special food needs or who register at Basic level are encouraged to bring lunch from home. We can all eat together and connect in conversation. Coffee, tea, fruit, and sweets will be available for all.
Basic registration for full program: $150 (without meals). Participants are encouraged to bring lunch from home. Coffee, tea, fruit, and sweets will be available for everyone. (Catered lunch must be ordered in advance, at time of registration, not purchased on site.) There is storage space for lunches, but not refrigeration or cooking facilities. Be sure to identify your meals clearly.
Youth Registration for program+ lunch: $75. Youth applies to young people ages 14–25 (they do not have to be students to qualify).
Some Limited Income slots will be available, $85 to $125. Please contact us for info.
Lunches: Prepaid lunch tickets will be given at registration on Friday morning. For special dietary preferences or needs, we encourage you to bring foods that work well for you. We encourage everyone to stay on site during the break if possible, so we can all eat together, mingle, and connect over a meal.

* Getting there:
Trimet Bus 15 Belmont stops at SE Belmont/42nd Ave. Walk 4 blocks north to Stark, turn right.
Trimet Bus 20 Burnside stops at E Burnside/44th Ave. Walk 6 short blocks south to Stark, venue is across the street. Street parking is available in the residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of neighbors' driveways. There are bike stands in front of the building, and limited sheltered space in back yard (ask at registration).
