Class Challenge
Please join your fellow Onancock High School alumni in raising $100,000 for the school. This capital fundraiser will end on October 30, 2022. An Honor Roll notebook will be made with the names of all donors.
The class that makes the largest overall donation will have the memorabilia display named for them.
We will be posting updates about contributions on our website, in our monthly newsletter, and at the school. As you may know, we are celebrating our 100th year. The school opened in 1921, and was dedicated on March 3, 1922:
In order to create a legacy for future generations, our Board has decided to ask our alumni for contributions to ensure that HOS will be around for the next 100 years. Our goal, fittingly, is $100,000.
Our Class Challenge rely on individual alumni donations, credited to the class you choose.
I hope you will help me in this worthy effort. I also hope you will take time to come to the school to see the improvements we have made and how far we have progressed in becoming a community and cultural center. In the past two years, we have installed a new playground, a LOVE sign, and an elevator to make the school ADA-compliant. Future plans include a memorabilia exhibit, renovation of the home economics cottage, and an outdoor performance pavilion.
Please share this with your friends and fellow alumni - let’s see which class can be the winner!
