BACKGROUND
This November, Winnebago County can protect life-saving mental health services by renewing the ½% sales tax. It's working:

Nearly 18,000 residents received care, including:
- 11,420 with serious mental illness
- 3,527 with substance use disorders
- 147 new local mental health providers.

We finally have critical services for children!
- Over 50% helped ages 9 to 15 and 19 to 26.
- Eliminated the waiting list for certain impatient treatment.
- Elevated mental health services in the jail, now a model for the Country.
- Created co-responder program with the police.
- $14.6 million funded essential programs like crisis response, housing, and treatment.
