Goal

The Christmas for Kids program brings holiday cheer to children in Barre City during the festive season. Each year, names of children in need are submitted to Officer Jason Fleury through schools and various organizations. With the help of his dedicated elves, including Katie Fleury and Jennifer Carbonneau, Officer Fleury purchases and wraps presents. These gifts are then hand-delivered by police officers just in time for Christmas.

Traditionally, the Barre City Council has supported this program by collecting money through a coin drop, with proceeds going to the Barre Juvenile Officers Association, which oversees the Christmas for Kids program. Since COVID-19, The Barre Partnership has joined forces with this wonderful initiative, offering an online option for donations to make contributing even easier.

Each year, while discussing the Christmas for Kids program, Mayor Thomas Lauzon famously said, “Every kid deserves a Christmas.” The floods of 2023 and 2024 have had a significant impact on Barre City, exacerbating financial hardships. By donating, you can help ensure every child in Barre experiences the joy of Christmas.
