Chris Roma's Long Trail Record Attempt
The Long Trail is a 273-mile long trail extending all of Vermont. The hike itself is no easy walk. The path is rocky, rooty, and muddy with constant mountain peaks to overcome. The Long Trail has attracted runners, adventurers, and hikers from all over the world to experience the beauty of the Green Mountains.
Breaking trail records is an excellent way to gain recognition in the outdoor community. The Long Trail record is considered the hardest to beat. In 2009, Jonathan Basham set the 4 days 12-hour 46-minute record for The Long Trail which has not been beaten.
On September 1st, 2019 Chris Roma will attempt that record-breaking run. He will have a support team with him making sure he is okay and well equipped to move forward. His run is in dedication to all of the women and children that are in need of clean drinking water.
