Alquimia Global is dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee families, particularly the children held in detention centers in the U.S. because we believe that all people have the right to safety and humane treatment as they seek a secure future. 

When you donate to Alquimia Global, your gift will go towards:

1. Towards building solid and sustainable internal operations that support our work to bring international awareness and accountability to the human rights violations in the US detention centers. 
   Our main focus is to build a community of leaders prepared to elevate the human rights advocacy of immigrants and refugees, which will support our mobilization efforts towards the United Nations (UN) Universal Periodic Review. The UN Human Rights Periodical Review is a yearly process where member states of the UN review each other’s human rights record and violations. Each country is reviewed every four and a half years. This year the United States is under review, and we want to ensure our collective voices are heard. 
2. Support programs that Alquimia Global manages or sponsors to build awareness around issues or to organize and mobilize activists so they hold leaders accountable for human rights violations. 
3. Support victims of human rights abuses. There will be times when we will need to support victims financially to get the help needed.
