Chicago South Side Birth Center will create positive maternal health outcomes for Black birthing people and their families across the city's South Side.

Black women, birthing people, and babies endure poor birth outcomes and a lack of care options. We understand that these outcomes are due to the legacies of systemic racism and oppression across institutions and are not inherent to Black people.

Midwife-led Birth Centers are the Solution.

Research has found that birth centers are safe and effective places to provide access to comprehensive care to mitigate infant mortality and morbidity rates.

The mission of Chicago South Side Birth Center is to provide concordant, culturally centered, evidence-based midwifery care alongside families within the community to improve outcomes, promote wellness, and abundance in whole health.

As a non-profit, independent, Black Midwife-led Birth Center on the South Side of Chicago, we aim to offer an option for birth and reproductive health care for people in their own neighborhood and community.

We're thrilled to launch our Capital Campaign - help us reach our goal for renovations and our first two years of operations.
