Cheetah Sponsorship: Aidan

Aidan, seen here at the back of the group, was one of 10 cubs recently rescued from the Illegal Wildlife Trade and brought to the Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre (CRCC) at CCF Somaliland in August 2025. Simon Squibb named him after his son and is a main sponsor.

The other cubs looked to him as the bigger cat for protection, but Aidan and all the cubs are now in a stable condition, despite all of them having been undernourished and limping due to being tied in captivity for months.

With cubs like Aidan, we need to start them onto on food slowly due to refeeding syndrome, similar to people in starvation and nurse them back to full health.

After this critical treatment and vaccinations, the cubs were able to enjoy the wider, protected, spaces at the CRCC.
