Hello, beautiful people of the LGBTQIA+ family!

We're Emrys and Flash, two passionate advocates from the UK, gearing up for a challenging two-day cycling adventure around the beautiful island of Gran Canaria in January 2025. Our goal? To support Checkpoint Gran Canaria – a vital resource center offering free, confidential STD and HIV testing, sexual health counseling, and a welcoming space for everyone under the rainbow. 

Since it's inception only 2 years ago, Checkpoint has been a lifeline for travelers and locals alike, providing care and reducing stigma around sexual health. With the influx of the community each year for events like Maspalomas Pride, their services are in higher demand than ever. Through this ride, we aim to raise awareness and funds to keep their essential services free, accessible, and thriving for everyone in our community.

Why This Matters:

The journey won't be easy – we'll be cycling around the entire island, testing our endurance and determination. But we're doing this for Checkpoint's mission and for all of us who have needed a safe, nonjudgmental space at some point in our lives. Every kilometer we pedal and every euro you donate goes directly to Checkpoint, supporting HIV prevention, rapid testing, and health education programs for our queer families.
