Goal

In 2026, we were blessed with two industrial-sized cooking stoves with ventilation systems, allowing our staff to prepare meals for our children without constantly battling the smoke from cooking over an open fire.

These stoves operate most efficiently with charcoal. While charcoal is nothing new to us, we haven't been able to use it consistently in place of wood because of the added expense.

Recently, we connected with a member of a local church who makes and sells charcoal! In the past, we've gone through seasons when charcoal was difficult to find, so we're hopeful this new connection will provide a reliable source and allow us to keep a steady supply on hand.

Each bag of charcoal costs approximately $12 and lasts about 2½ days.

We're nearing the end of our current supply and will soon need to purchase more to keep our stoves running and meals cooking for our children.
