Goal

We are 5 years into our mission to Change Food for Good.

Since our official launch on September 26th, 2018, we have provided training over than 1000 participants, secured over 175 job placements, and created/supported 100 farms and greenspaces. Our core program, Intro to AgTech, has proven to be an effective model for jumpstarting young adult jobseekers' careers in sustainable agriculture, technology, and construction, but also, enabled us to develop countless sustainable farm sites throughout the 5 boroughs. Our educational program, AgTech 101, has become a key resource to schools and educators for in-school youth to learn about sustainable agriculture, and digital design and develop school-based farms that grow healthy produce, as well as, create a pathway for employment. Our internship program has helped steward more than 60 young people into their career pathways with subsidized employment, wraparound services, and one-on-one career development.

Our students are building out full-scale client projects through our network - from websites to applications to commercial farm builds; we are creating the ecosystem in which their careers can thrive and support local, small business owners. Our alumni themselves are utilizing the skills, resources, and mentorship we've provided to become business owners, homeowners and advance their economic mobility.

We committed to building out a farm site in Kenya where in-school youth and local residents can get trained and receive fresh produce supplementing their school lunches while combatting the climate-caused drought Kenya is experiencing - and in September of 2023, we did just that.

We've advocated for school-based farm programs, sustainable infrastructure solutions, and most importantly, a Civilian Climate Corps to advance our sustainability workforce with livable wages. And this year, we got it!

We began direct food relief services through a tailored approach enabling over 800 recipients to receive 12,000 tons of free food, specifically the food that they want!

Our mission is working but it isn't done yet. We will continue to support the talent, tools, and systems development needed to Change Food for Good. With your support, we can continue to advance sustainable food infrastructure in NYC and beyond.

We can provide students and NYC residents 1 pound of free food for every 1.25 donated. To contribute to our mission, donate today.

Thank you for your support.
