Goal
Can you change the world one seat at a time? At the Wallace Theater, the answer is a resounding yes!
As you read this, consider the seat you're in. It might not seem significant, but every seat holds memories—like the one you occupied at your first concert or that special spot in the movie theater on a first date. Think back to the classroom where you learned to read or the family dinner table where laughter echoed. Each of these seats was part of a moment that shaped who you are today.
After nine incredible years, the Wallace Theater is nearing the finish line of our renovations. Thanks to the generosity of foundations, community leaders, individuals, and businesses, we've raised over $4.2 million. Now, we’re within 20% of reaching our goal—and we need your help to get to the finish line. One way you can help is to donate funds for the 250 auditorium seats.
In writing this letter, we are reminded of the profound impact that every seat will have. By naming a seat, you’re not just making a donation; you’re creating opportunities for yourself and others to experience unforgettable moments. Imagine the joy of a child seeing their first live performance, a grandparent watching their grandchildren shine on stage, or a couple sharing a special moment that they will cherish forever. Your contribution will help make these experiences possible.
This is more than just a fundraising campaign; it’s a call to action. By becoming a part of our journey, you’re stepping into the role of a hero in our story. Your support will allow us to invite more people into the Wallace Theater to create their own lasting memories. As of Friday, October 25th we have sold 65 of the 250 seats available, leaving just 185 available. We need all seats to be purchased by November 15th, and your timely support is crucial.
If you're inspired to make an impact in other ways, we’d love your involvement. We’ll need volunteers, performers, and additional staff, but today, our most pressing need is your financial support.
