Listening across differences and bridging divides is a core value of mine because:

Sidewalk Talk was started in 2014. This May 2025, we are bringing heart-centered listening to communities across the Midwest, from Kansas City to Pittsburgh. May 5th to the 10th.

This reminds me so much of something I was involved with from the early 80s to the early 90s. But that was something that was over the phone before we had the internet. And it basically provided listening to lonely people and also other problems as well. We had a major listening training program, I still have information on that. This was started actually after a suicide and I believe it was in Australia and after that death it caused a minister actually a Methodist minister to want to start something to hopefully help people to not feel like they are hopeless.
