Support Change Agents Podcast Incubator

Change Agents is the pilot project for an ongoing podcast production incubator that seeks to change that perception of hopelessness and stagnation by providing production training and a media vehicle for residents and community organizations to report on the lesser told stories of positive social change in their neighborhoods. A small team of emerging ALAANA journalists and community activists will be selected to collaborate in producing solutions-based stories highlighting the issues, challenges and ground level efforts for change. Veteran media producers and educators Judith McCray and Maurice Bisaillon of Juneteenth Productions will lead the 12 week, 144 hour workshop designed to create a broadcast quality podcast series. Guest lectures by broadcast journalists and producers from WBEZ, WKKC, City Bureau, Free Spirit Media and others will be a regular part of the workshop. All trainees will receive a small stipend for their participation.
