Goal

On June 24, 2026, two earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude struck Venezuela just 39 seconds apart. The damage in Caracas and La Guaira is devastating.

Chamos In Aid of the Children of Venezuela has spent 19 years working directly with vulnerable communities in Venezuela on nutrition, education, and access to water. We didn't arrive today. We were already there, and we're still responding.

Here's what your donation makes possible:

Immediate response: LifeStraw Community filters delivered to hospitals, shelters, and communities in the affected area — each one purifies up to 100,000 litres without electricity or chemicals, giving thousands of people access to clean water every day. Medical supplies for hospitals and collection centres, critical equipment for trauma units, Starlink antennas and generators to sustain rescue operations. Daily protein arepas for rescue workers and displaced families, infant formula for the most vulnerable babies, and backpacks and hygiene items for children in shelters.

Short term: Launch of a reading programme and a recreation and psychosocial support programme, giving children safe spaces to play and heal, and their families a moment of respite. Our Nutritional Recovery Programme continues without interruption for the children and mothers most at risk.

Medium term: Structural assessment of our schools, programme centres, and community spaces that were damaged, to restore nutrition, education, and water access services for the children and families we work with every day.

In addition to funding the earthquake response and the recovery of affected communities, a portion of the funds raised will support Chamos' long-standing nutrition, education, and clean water programmes, which have been serving vulnerable communities across Venezuela for the past 19 years. These programmes play a vital role in helping children and families recover, rebuild their lives, and create opportunities that endure long after the immediate emergency has passed.

Thank you for standing with Venezuela. Thank you for standing with Chamos.
