This year, Rhode Island Parrot Rescue celebrates 10 years of giving parrots a voice, a safe place to land, and a second chance at life.
We’re inviting YOU to be part of our next chapter by giving $10—or $20, $50, $100—in honor of our decade of dedication.
Every $10 you give will help us feed, care for, and provide medical treatment to our flock—and keep our mission soaring for another 10 years.

When you give, you’re not just supporting a rescue—you’re giving parrots like The Count a true second chance at life.

The Count, a magnificent Hyacinth Macaw, came to Rhode Island Parrot Rescue after years of hardship. For the last four years of his life, he was safe, cherished, and surrounded by love here with us. He quickly became the heart of our flock—welcoming visitors with his larger-than-life presence, teaching volunteers patience and joy, and reminding all of us why this work matters so deeply.

His story is more than just about one bird. It’s about the impact that consistent support makes. Because of caring people like you, The Count was able to live his final years in comfort, with dignity, and knowing he was loved.

The Count RIP 2025

As we celebrate 10 years of rescue, we’re asking you to help write the next chapter — for every parrot who still needs us.

A recurring gift of $10 for 10 years ensures that countless more birds will have the same chance The Count had: a chance to thrive, a chance to be loved, and a chance to change lives!

Chablis

Chablis - a fine wine and such a fine little gal! With her stumpy leg, her deformed beak, and a pro-lasped cloaca - every odd was against her ever getting adopted or receiving proper care so that she could live comfortable for many years to come.  RIPR did it! Chablis was medically evaluated and given a behavioral plan! She was adopted in 2022, she is active member of our outreach team, and she is spoiled rotten by her parronts, Bob and Bettina P.

RIPR Changes lives, One bird at a Time!

Munchkin

Munch, formerly Munchkin was adopted in 2021 by Jen.

In Jen's words: "Munch and I quickly became best friends. She always yells at me “what are you doing?!?” Or because we’ve watched so many Soprano episodes, “how you doin’?”  It's very likely she will wear a collar the rest of her life. I call her my little flower! Munch is the center of my world, she’s the friend I didn’t know I needed.  Her favorite toys and foods are sweet potatoes, hard boiled eggs, wiffle balls and cardboard bagels.
Thank you RIPR for setting me up with such a beautiful girl. We both are so lucky to have each other!"

We’ve fed, housed, and loved over 700 parrots in the last 10 years… and we’re just getting started. 🦜
Can we raise
$10,000 in honor of our 10th anniversary?
Give $10—or $100 if you can—and tag 10 friends to take the challenge. Together, we can keep this flock in the sky. 💚
