Cedar Market is partnering with Migdal Ohr in their major initiative called “Magen Yisrael” to relocate nearly 1,500 people - families, babies, children, and elderly - who survived  the massacres along the Gaza border communities to hotels in Jerusalem. There, Migdal Ohr will care for their every need, providing families with a place to call home during this time of crisis along with the food, clothing, activities, therapy, and counseling they need until the next steps emerge and can help them to rebuild. Cedar Market will match all funds donated in this campaign by their customers, towards feeding families and other necessities during their stay in Jerusalem.

With the recent horror that has struck Israel, and the effect on so many families who've suffered loss and displacement, Cedar Market knew that it needed to take action to best support our brothers and sisters whose lives have been torn apart and will need to rebuild from scratch. As a community store, Cedar Market felt the perfect partnership would be with Migdal Ohr, who has created a new initiative to be a beacon of light and provide for these families in need; and to help ensure a bright future for all affected by this unimaginable tragedy.
