If you know me, you know I believe in Sacramento’s creative community 100%. I’ve seen firsthand how the creative community transforms careers, builds confidence, shapes culture, and strengthens our city.

That’s why I helped build Capitol Creative Alliance — a nonprofit dedicated to connecting and empowering the creative workforce that drives Sacramento forward.

Our events like Creativity Speaks and Design Week Sacramento create a much-needed third space for creatives: not home, not work — but a place where people feel seen, supported, and surrounded by others who get what they do. It’s where collaborations spark, skills grow, and new opportunities take shape.

We help creatives:

• Advance careers through workshops, mentorship, and real-world guidance

• Build networks that lead to jobs, collaborations, and belonging

• Feel belonging in a community that celebrates their craft and passion

Because when creatives thrive, our region thrives.
A healthy creative community fuels innovation, strengthens our economy, attracts and retains talent, and makes Sacramento a more vibrant place to live.

CCA has done a whole lot with very little for a very long time.
