Cayden's Birthday Fundraiser

Welcome to The Cayden Effect Fundraiser!

Cayden Lloyd Herrick was welcomed into this world on May 10th, 2022.

Diagnosed full Trisomy 18, Cayden’s parents were told to expect their son’s life to be limited as this genetic abnormality would affect every part of his body. 

Although despite his diagnosis, Cayden was born strong, beating every odd and continued to prove his doctors wrong as each day went on. 

After three weeks in the NICU, Cayden was sent home on hospice to continue care surrounded by family, including his parents and older sister.

The Herrick family was given 31 miraculous days to love on their baby boy, earth side, before he passed away, home with his mother, on June 10th, 2022. 

Cayden is an inspiration and a true example of strength. Although his time on earth was short, his life was a testament of true love, the power of prayer, and pure grace in the hardest circumstances. Cayden left a legacy, proving that a diagnosis such as Trisomy 18 should not define you or limit you based on assumptions. 

This year, Cayden would be turning three years old. His parents continue to honor him by sharing his journey and incorporating and celebrating him through every season of their lives. Including, sharing his testimony in hopes of providing hope and encouragement to other families experiencing such diagnosis or loss.
