Goal
The Woman's Club of Cayce is proud to sponsor the 18th Annual Cayce Cares Tree Lighting Memorial and Canned Good Collection Project. This year, Cayce Cares will be helping two great local entities - God's Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project.
God's Helping Hands is a local crisis ministry that helps our community members with food and other needs. During the pandemic, God's Helping Hands has been hosting monthly food giveaways for families within the Lexington 2 footprint. In addition to canned goods, funds raised through the Tree Light Memorial help God's Helping Hands assist clients with utility, rent, and medicine bills.
The Scooter Scott Project provides support to our area high school students through their weekly snack packs, After-School Program and GED Program. The After-School Program is at the heart of SSP, which helps students excel in school while teaching them the life skills that are needed upon graduation. This program also enables students to succeed through learning how to be an entrepreneur through the SSP hand soap business, in which all proceeds go toward their scholarships. In addition, The Scooter Scott Project also engages with adults who are working to attain their GED.
The Cayce Care Project culminates on December 3, 2020, at 6:00 pm with the 43rd annual lighting of the community Christmas Tree at Cayce City Hall. Your donation will be included as part of the Tree Lighting Memorial. You may donate in honor of or in memory of a friend or loved one.
