While I normally have the funds to look after my cats, the current situation leaves me extremely tight for money. My cats are always going to be high priority for me. With the recent adoption of Max, in about 30-50 days he will be ready to be neutered. This is a slightly more expensive procedure, and unfortunately there's not a lot of low-income options in my area. Shortly after the adoption of Max, I found myself having to pay nearly $500_CAD for an Emergency vet visit for Tucker. This unexpected expense is what has really damaged my financial situation, even though it was needed.

Any support is appreciated! Funds are 100% spent on the cats.

Thankfully, Tucker had recovered from this incident, and whatever sickness may have been ailing him throughout that week. The vet determined he was running a fever, and dehydrated. So for the following days, I provided lots of wet food with extra water added 2-3 times a day, and he would eat at least 1-2 of those feeding attempts; only small amounts at first, but as he progressed his appetite returned.

This bill set me back a large amount for what I have, and now has also put me behind on bills such as Water and Electricity. I'm hoping that I can make back some of this money spent to put towards Max and the next appointment he needs for finishing his shots, booster, and rabies vaccine – and eventually a neutering procedure.

Update: August 11, 2020

After buying food today for myself, and the cats, as well as a change in kitty litter, I am dead broke ($2 to my name) until August 21. At some point, (hopefully) before the end of August, I have to take in Max to complete his kitten shots, booster, rabies, and then plan for neutering. I have food for myself to last that time, but I do not have the extra funds needed to afford the vet visit in general.
