Caravan - The First Step
What is Caravan?
Caravan is an initiative in which people from all over the world discuss the reorganisation of a global humane society without exploitation, oppression and war.
Men and women are represented equally. They come from all cultures and all social and productive spheres, including outsiders and minorities. Together they form a caravan that moves from West to East Africa to inspirit issues necessary for the survival of humanity.
The goal of Caravan is the equitable distribution of the Earth’s resources among all its inhabitants. Air, water, land and energy belong to the entire world population. If all people have access to them, there will be no more wars, no ethnic conflicts, no gender struggles.
Please start the video below and listen to Awa Dembele and Chacka Bagayoko. The Caravan members from Bamako, the capital of Mali, explain the idea of the initiative.
What is the issue?
In order to establish the necessary organizational structures for communication, logistical and planning, Caravan requires premises and equipment.
This includes furnishings for a small office in Bamako with internet, laptops, desktop computers, monitors, software, printer and other office materials for example, as well as costs for electricity, light motorcycles (they are among the most important and cheapest means of transport), office rent, a monthly fee for accounting services and small expense allowances for workers.
On our Website www.dialogofcultures.org we have compiled a list of things and costs for which we will use the money collected in the "First Step Campaign".
What can you do?
In order for the Caravan initiative to slowly get off the ground, acquisition costs amounting to €8400 (approx. $9800 or 5,53 Mio. CFA-Franc) and running costs for one year amounting to €17.400 (approx. $20.300 or 11,44 Mio. CFA-Franc) is needed for the first step.
Are you convinced by our goal? Do you feel what we are doing is the right move? Support us now and become a part of a great idea! It’s time to act.
Best regards,
