Goal
For this participant's privacy we are keeping his name anonymous.
This participant is 19 years old and was born with an illness that is still a mystery to him and his family.
When he was a baby he liked to crawl and move everywhere but as he grew his parents noticed that he didn't have enough strength in his legs to stand, so they decided to take him to a clinic called “Fundabiem” when he was 3 years old where he began receiving physical therapy. Unfortunately, he remains unable to walk on his own and needs to use a wheelchair to get around.
With all the obstacles he has faced in order to continue his education, his family has been right there with him to support his education as much as they can. His dad works as a farmer and his mom sells tortillas. He is the oldest of 5 kids. Last year, in 2024 he was able to graduate from high school. It is really an inspiration to see how this family has worked so hard together to reach this goal.
This participant is still dreaming to continue his education at the university level. His desire is to study engineering information systems and computer sciences at Mariano Gálvez University in Guatemala. Your support will help him to reach this goal.
$110 a month or $1,320 for the whole year will cover enough to pay for transportation to the university, class materials/supplies and administrative costs.
Would you consider supporting this participant monthly, quarterly or with a one time donation?
