This participant is 21 years old and this is his story.

As a teenager, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends. On August 2nd 2020 while he was driving back home a drunk driver crashed in front of him leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital that night and had to stay for a whole month. During his stay in the hospital his leg was severely infected which led to it being medically necessary to amputate.

After his accident, he didn´t see a way he could continue his education given all the obstacles he would now have to face in trying to get to school everyday. He had to drop out of school when he was in 11th grade and started helping his mom sell tortillas.

Once he heard about the Capernaum Program and the possibility that he could finally finish his education he immediately signed up to be a participant and wanted to take advantage of the opportunity presented to him.

Now at 21 years old, he is ready to finish his final year of school so he can graduate and either continue to study at a University or find a better paying job.

$65 a month or $780 for the whole year will cover enough to pay for a qualified teacher, class materials, a meal and administrative costs.
