Each September, we join other childhood cancer organizations for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to increase awareness and raise funds for research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cures. Together, we can make a difference to local kids and families facing childhood cancer.
Why Candlelighters? Candlelighters helps families with basic needs and beyond, providing ways to connect with other families who understand what it’s like to have a child with cancer. With the help of emergency financial assistance, monthly family activities, in-hospital meals and a family camp, our goal is to ensure that families have the resources and connections they need to navigate childhood cancer together. "Candlelighters honors the fact that when a child gets diagnosed with cancer, it becomes a FAMILY disease, and everyone needs something special to get through it to develop a new normal."
