The MULTICULTURAL CENTER OF MARIN (former Canal Welcome Center) was established in 2001, primarily to support Canal Community residents, immigrants and low-income families of Marin County to advance their social, cultural, and economic well being and to participate fully in the broader civic life of U.S. society. On October 27th, 2018 we are transforming into the Multicultural Center of Marin. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or need any further information. Thanks for your support.
The Multicultural Center of Marin, Former Canal Welcome Center, is a 501-C-3 charitable and educational organization and all contributions are tax deductible. Our EIN is 83-0485451.

Hi there! I created a fundraiser earlier this year to sell artwork in order to help the cycling community give back to the Coast Miwok. You can view the project's page here: https://arielwickham9.wixsite.com/fullcircle
Cyclists use the beautiful land in Marin and it's important that we recognize the history of the land and support the original stewards of the land, the Coast Miwok. I spoke with Coast Miwok Tribal Council member Joe Sanchez, who directed me to send the donation to the Multicultural Center of Marin.
Thus this donation is to be exclusively used for projects that benefit the Coast Miwok people.
I truly appreciate you helping them, and helping the community learn more about the history of this area.
This donation is a thank you from cyclists who want to give back to the Coast Miwok people and to allow them to tell their history in their own words, and to help teach others in order to create a better tomorrow for all.
I pray that it will help create change to allow all to feel welcome in Marin.

For the Jimmy Justice Scholarship Fund". To honor and remember his legacy, a scholarship fund is being established to provide educational support to underserved and disadvantaged students in Marin, consisting of two things: $1000 for college tuition & expenses, plus free scholarships to the Media Academy program of Community Media Center of Marin, which is geared toward young students learning to produce their own media. This scholarship fund will select three to five candidates each year who are especially interested in the fields of politics, the environment, community activism, and social justice.
