Goal
My name is Marcos Amaya Jr and I am a Junior majoring in Agricultural Leadership with a concentration in International Studies at Oklahoma State University. My involvement in Wishes for Water began during my Freshman year, when I was a member of the President's Leadership Council and the organization was first presented to me. My time in the organization began as a Global Partnership Representative, where I had the opportunity to advocate for water sustainability in the Harare Region of Rural Zimbabwe. Through the course of the last 3 years, I have learned what it means to become culturally aware of the insecurities that occur in other countries, as well as how privileged and blessed we are to live the lives we do with the rights and opportunities that we are granted each and every day. I now serve as one of the Directors of Event Management in this great organization, and I have gotten the opportunity to take part in planning some amazing events that have helped us reach our fundraising goals, which will allow us to continue building Boreholes and contributing to sustainable change in Zimbabwe each year. This campaign will contribute to the development of Borehole #8 and #9, as well as the fencing of more acreage that will allow for crop development and food security in Zimbabwe. Any and all support, regardless of the amount, is extremely appreciated, as you then become part of creating sustainable change. If you find it in your heart to join me in this journey, everything, including shares, reposts, and advocacy, will help move towards a better tomorrow.
