Dear Community Care Supporters!
Thank you for giving to help keep those suffering the effects of the housing/homeless crisis we are facing in the Truckee Meadows. Any funds donated will go to give temporary shelter from the winter weather. We know that long exposure to inclement weather often leads to frost bite, hypothermia and even death. All existing shelters in our community have been at capacity. With your donation we can be another line of defense to needless suffering that our fellow community members face. We currently have 20 motel rooms giving warmth and safety to women, children, couples, elderly and thier pets and we will continue to extend their stay through the upcoming storm cycle. We will also open up more space for others to take shelter as long as funds exist. This is a community effort aiming to give short term safety to a long term problem. The community advocates will not give up on pushing for long term equitable and humane solutions for all people in our community. Housing is a human right!
Please give what you can and spread this message to all those within your reach!

Deep Gratitude!
