Cake4Kids Sacramento

Cake4Kids Sacramento has been delivering hope and smiles to youth since July 2018, part of the national Cake4Kids organization with chapters coast to coast, each with a thriving community of volunteers, supporters, partners, and more.

We bake and deliver cakes to youth who otherwise may not receive one for key milestones such as birthdays, graduations, academic awards, and even adoptions. We recognize that the underserved youth we serve require food, shelter, safety, and education above all else, but basic needs alone are not sufficient to grapple with the trauma they may have endured or to create a positive childhood experience—they need and deserve more. Each cake creates a special moment for a child in need showing them that we believe in them, we are thinking of them, and we care.

We partner exclusively with human and social services agencies that support at-risk youth ages 1-24, integrating ourselves into local community structures and allowing thousands of youth each year to easily access Cake4Kids. Although our initial focus was solely on foster youth, today we proudly serve a very diverse population, baking and delivering for those who are victims of domestic violence or human trafficking, in foster care, LGBTQ+, experiencing homelessness, living below the poverty line, refugees, and unaccompanied immigrant minors.
