Goal

We are baking our way to an incredible milestone — 100,000 underserved youth supported, 100,000 moments of hope delivered, and 100,000 cakes baked with love.

This is more than a number. It’s 100,000 reminders that joy matters, that community matters, and that together, we can make life a little sweeter for young people who need it most.

“I remember watching my peers share stories of happy birthdays and family traditions — things I never had. Each year, my birthday became just another day to survive.

No cake, no candles. Just silence where love used to be.”

- Former foster youth

At Cake4Kids, our kindness comes in the form of a homemade cake, cupcakes, or cookies: sweet reminders that you are cared for, you are supported, you matter.

A cake doesn’t replace a meal, yet its impact can be profound. Every day we remind children that they are celebrated, remembered, and worthy of joy.

These small gestures become powerful moments for the children, teens, and young adults we serve. We work side-by-side with over 2,000 nonprofits supporting youth, including for those facing hunger and homelessness, to reach as many youth as possible.

Together, we can bring joy and hope to underserved youth in our communities.

Funding Our Mission

While our volunteers generously pour love and ingredients into every bake, our behind-the-scenes team ensures our organization and cake requests are possible. With a staggering 20,000 cake requests in a single year, over 10,000 volunteer bakers, and more than 2,000 caseworker partners, our program cannot function without our team. We are urgently recruiting and onboarding thousands of new volunteers, partnering with thousands of caseworkers across 19 states and DC, training and supporting our chapter leadership, providing continuous support to our bakers, and guaranteeing every cake reaches a child in need. We're also managing all communications and systems and building community support, all while covering operational expenses like insurance, bookkeeping, software, and supplies. Without these resources, this program would simply not be able to continue or grow.
