Why did you say “yes” when asked to be a Buzzee?
Saying yes for me was honestly easy. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, they really don't get a choice in the matter of what struggles and challenges they have to go through. So, growing out my hair and shaving it to support those fighting cancer is, without a doubt, worth it.
Who are you doing this for or in honor of?
I’m participating in the Cancer Crush Buzzee for all my family and friends who have fought through their cancer diagnosis. I have watched my mentor, my stepmother, my childhood friend, and most recently, my brother-in-law battle cancer, and this was the least I could do to show my continued support in honor of them.
Why is it important for our community to support patients going through treatment?
Battling cancer is hard. Facing the unknown of what cancer treatment can bring, should never be a one-person fight. It is a battle of an army of professionals, family, and sometimes even strangers.
