We're Excited to Launch Our Capital Campaign to Secure Bunker Projects' Permanent Home and We Need Your Help!

We, Bunker Projects, a visual artist residency and experimental gallery founded in 2013, are excited to announce the launch of our first-ever capital campaign aimed at purchasing the building we have called home for over 11 years. With an exciting opportunity to purchase our current building from the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation (BGC), we are poised to secure our presence in the Penn Ave Arts district for decades to come

How It Works:

Acquiring the building will impact our budget as we transition from renters to owners. To ensure long-term sustainability, we need your help securing an affordable mortgage by raising funds now to reduce our total loan amount. This also affects our neighbors, Mr. Roboto Project, who will contribute to covering increased financial responsibility. Launching this capital campaign, we ask our community to support us in securing our place on Penn Avenue, sustaining a platform for emerging artists and the arts community.

About Mr. Roboto Project:

Mr. Roboto Project has been operating in Pittsburgh for nearly 25 years. We’re an entirely volunteer-run DIY music venue that’s both a safe and sober space. We’ve opened our doors for concerts from major and local acts, hold community events like flea markets and naloxone training, showcase local artists in our entryway, and more. We can't think of this place without them, so together we're plotting for the future.

Your donations contribute to the most unique neighborhood in Pittsburgh:

With a limited-time opportunity to purchase our current space from the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation (BGC), we're on a quick turnaround timeline to secure the future of our location on Penn Ave. By contributing to this capital campaign, you're not just supporting a gallery – you're investing in our unique artistic community in Garfield.

I played my first gig here with Hotdog Water; Short Fictions was headlining, the poster had a crazy ass claymation-looking shark on it. That show was the first of many and ultimately introduced me to my tribe. Thank you Roboto!
