Hundreds of leaders from North America and abroad received training from Burt and the LDI committees since 1995 to become today's club and regional leaders as well as international officers. Burt's strength was in teaching us that the relationships we form with our fellow Jewish brethren gives our organization its spark. It is from this spark that our clubs and regions derive true "value". It is what drives our members to return to LDI, regional retreats, and our biennial convention year after year seeking connections, ideas, and most of all, ruach!
The FJMC Foundation for Jewish Life dedicates this campaign in Burt's memory, in order to provide a sustaining endowment to continue providing much needed training to future leaders of our clubs, regions, and the International Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs. We thank you for considering a designated gift to this campaign in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Dr. Burt Fischman.
FJMC Foundation for Jewish Life is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, EIN 57-1160051. All contributions are tax deductible. No goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contribution. You will receive a Contribution Summary in January of each year.

My love affair with Burt goes back many years. I was not only privileged to be among the hundreds (thousands?) of FJMCers he taught and mentored over the years, but I was also welcomed by him to collaborate on the FJMC Executive Committee training for several years. It was a wonderful, productive collegial partnership with lots of great memories that I shall always treasure.
