NOLA's Intervention and Reformation Center, Inc.: Empowering Futures with Your Support

At NOLA's Intervention and Reformation Center, Inc., our mission is to empower individuals without direction and former felons by providing comprehensive training in the construction trades—specifically in home rehabilitation, renovations, and repairs. We foster both personal and professional growth, supporting their journey to becoming successful business owners. Through education, mentorship, sustainable employment, and community development projects, we are committed to breaking the cycles of unemployment and recidivism by offering a second chance to those who need it most.

Our Vision:

We’ve found the perfect facility for our community training center—a 20,000-25,000 sq. ft. building in New Orleans priced at $800,000. With your generous donation of $1 million, we can secure this building and transform it into a hub for hands-on vocational training, mentorship, and community engagement.

This facility will serve as a beacon of hope, providing participants with the trade skills they need to build successful careers in construction while supporting their personal growth and offering them the tools for entrepreneurial success.

Goal:

$1,000,000

Goal Breakdown:

  • $800,000Purchase of the Building
This will secure our new facility in New Orleans, ensuring we have a permanent home for our training and outreach programs. The building will include dedicated workshops, classrooms, and office space, allowing us to expand our reach and increase the number of participants we can serve.

  • $100,000Building Renovations and Setup
This covers essential renovations to transform the building into a fully equipped training center, including the installation of workshops for carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, along with safety features and classroom spaces.

  • $50,000Tools and Equipment
Purchasing advanced tools and teaching materials for all trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, ensuring each participant has access to industry-standard equipment to gain hands-on experience.

  • $30,000Staffing and Trade Instructors
Salaries for expert trade instructors who will lead the initial training cohorts. This funding will allow us to bring on skilled professionals to provide in-depth, hands-on education.

  • $20,000Administrative Costs and Program Expansion
These funds will be used for administrative operations, community outreach, and the development of additional educational resources to support ongoing growth.

Why Your Support Matters:

Your $1 million donation will be the catalyst for transforming the lives of individuals who need a second chance. By supporting NOLA’s NIRAC, you will provide participants with the tools, training, and mentorship needed to thrive in the construction industry and, ultimately, become business owners and leaders within their communities.

This project will directly impact the lives of former felons and individuals seeking new opportunities, breaking the cycle of unemployment and recidivism by offering tangible skills and opportunities for success.

Donor Impact:

  • A $1,000 donation could supply essential tools and safety gear for 10 trainees.

  • A $5,000 donation could sponsor a month of trade instruction for a group of participants.

  • A $10,000 donation could fund a major portion of classroom renovations, creating a space for hands-on learning and mentorship.

  • A $100,000 donation could completely fund the tools and materials needed for an entire cohort of participants to complete their training.

Call to Action:

Help us reach our $1 million goal to secure this building and provide a space where individuals can rebuild their lives and create brighter futures. Your donation will empower them with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in the construction industry, become business owners, and contribute positively to their communities.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and give those in need a second chance. Your generosity today will shape the futures of tomorrow.
