Goal
The historic Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Beacon was built in 1923 to honor veterans for their sacrifice and service.
A consortium of organizations currently share the building — running our local offices: the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Marine Corps League, the Nam Knights, and Guardian Revival. The hall also hosts events for many other groups & charitable causes from the broader Beacon area.
While this beautiful, iconic building is a wonderful resource for us & serves an important role as a community center, it lacks ADA compliance & is in need of repair. As many of the members we serve are disabled or have physical limitations, these are critical updates.
It is our duty and pleasure to help maintain this space and ensure it is easily accessible to all.
This campaign will fund renovations to make the building ADA compliant & handicap accessible as well as make improvements to landscaping, electrical, and plumbing.
We appreciate your support in helping us update this important historic building in order to ensure it can serve our veterans & extended local community.
